古风时期的希腊建筑

黑暗年代以后，希腊不再有国王，所以也不再有宫殿或豪华的陵墓。但是，人们开始修建宏伟的神庙。其实在那一千多年以前，埃及人就已经开始修建神庙了，所以它们并不是什么新鲜的玩意。但是对希腊来说，这是全新的。那时很多希腊人在埃及劳动，也许他们从那里获得了灵感（就像他们当时也从那里获得了灵感而修建石雕一样）。

希腊神庙是希腊建筑中最著名的部分。它们结合希腊正厅的传统和埃及神庙，形成一种全新、简单而别致的形式。

 

最早的希腊神庙建于公元前800年左右，是用木头建成的，因为建造一座神庙，木头比石头要容易。这些神庙呈长方形，四面都有门廊环绕，支撑它们的是树干做成的柱子，就像图中这样。
